Production Associate

 

Primary Job Function:

Operation of the press line, racking of the parts produced, quality control, housekeeping and participation in TPM activities, forklift driving and metal rework of the parts. Setting dies on the bolsters may also be required: this requires a crane operating license. Accomplish any and all work assignments as directed Management.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Maintain housekeeping requirements to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Inspect parts produced per process to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Complete quality check documentation per process.
  • Initiate quality improvements and assist in concern resolution.

Forklift Driver

 

Primary Job Function:

Provide full service to production/shipping departments, by using established processes/TPM objectives. Accomplish any and all work assignments as directed by management.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Supply proper amounts of product/racks to support production lines (using process standards).
  • Verify rack/product quality.
  • Maintain/verify R/F labor movement transactions.

Sales Representative

 

Job Description:

Plan, control and direct activities of the sales department to obtain maximum sales volume and to develop maximum potential volume from all automotive markets for the corporation’s products/services. Act within the scope of corporate objectives and policies to accomplish assigned goals. Accomplish any and all work assignments as directed by management.                    

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Develop and follow automotive business plan to include job deliverable tracking.
  • Primary interface to the customer for automotive business issues.
  • Regularly meet with Purchasing personnel at our customer base. Establish and maintain close contact with the commercial organization of our customers and be able to contact any member of that group to resolve commercial issues.
  • Know our customers’ software packages and how to enter commercial documentation into their systems.
  • Review and summarize the commercial contracts for TSAC business requirements.
  • Direct price negotiations with customers to ensure that profitable piece price and tooling prices are established.
  • Ensure orders and customer communications are promptly and accurately addressed.
  • Ensure appropriate action to resolve customer service concerns is addressed.
  • Provide management with timely reports on sales activities and related issues.
  • Obtain new business opportunities from customers and coordinate through TSAC internal systems.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) preferred or High School Diploma and 6 years’ sales experience.
  • Minimum four years sales experience with broad knowledge of functional areas in sales.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills required.

Quality Engineer & Checking Fixtures Engineer

 

Job Description:

Support the new vehicle development of TSAC programs by exchanging technical information with others in the department and management. Support material, equipment, and product specifications and process requirements with minimal direction from a more Senior Engineer or management. Provide the department with design alternatives that facilitate manufacturing feasibility. Assist and/or lead in research & development activities. Provide training/mentorship to less experienced Engineers. Accomplish any and all work assignments as directed by management.

CDL – A Truck Driver

 

Primary Job Function:

CDL Driver will provide full service to production/shipping departments and customers by performing established processes for commercial vehicle operations. When not operating a commercial vehicle, this position will accomplish any and all work assignments (forklift operations) as directed by management.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Comply with all criteria for maintaining CDL certification as established by the Michigan Secretary of State.
  • Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or distribution centers.
  • Operate a forklift when not operating a commercial vehicle.
  • Verify proper rack/product quality and tagging.
  • Maintain/verify R/F tag movement transactions.
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
  • Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.

  • Perform commercial vehicle TPM Autonomous Maintenance inspections and provide corrective actions/continuous improvements.
  • Identification/containment of all NCM/MF product.

  • Pass annual CDL-A driving test, written test and (DDOT) medical exam.

Die Maker

 

Job Description:

Service and support manufacturing goals and objectives. Implement Die Maintenance Department processes and procedures to yield results that “delight” our customers (internal and external). Accomplish any and all work assignments as directed by management.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Coordinate with Department Management Staff status/activities associated with ECN’s, Project Launches and assigned die repair/modifications.
  • Instill good communications between shifts and departments for Die Maintenance activities.
  • Assist and advise in new/off-load die tryout projects through buy-off.

Maintenance Technician

 

Primary Job Function:

Maintain Machine/Equipment in top working conditions to minimize and eliminate down time. Perform emergency repair of machine/equipment during production. Perform installation, removal or modification of production machine/equipment. Accomplish any and all work assignments as directed by management.

Machinist

 

Primary Job Function:

CMM Layout Technician

 

Job Description:

To provide CMM/dimensional data to TSAC team members in a timely manner.  To utilize all types of measurement equipment available.  This includes: CMM, Optigo, layout machines, DataMytes, hand tools, etc.  Accomplish any and all work assignments as directed by management.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Operate CMM as well as online/offline programming.
  • To accurately utilize surface plate tools. (Micrometer, Vernier Height Gage, Squares, etc.).
  • To manufacture form templates, splashes and any type of special means tooling required to support TSAC.
  • To manufacture and repair detail and assembly checking fixtures.
  • To insure Layout Department is properly maintained.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Journeyman or equivalent Layout experience.
  • Tool Makers experience to include machining and bench knowledge.
  • Knowledge of PC-DMIS.

Program Manager

 

Job Description:

  • Primary customer contact and manages customer satisfaction regarding: Cost, Quality, Delivery and Concerns. Manages and coordinates conflict resolution with customers and Thai Summit
  • Primary customer contact for new programs. Initiates and updates BOM, development process, timing, and quality.
  • Coordinates and manages feasibility & engineering changes.
  • Coordinates and manages launch projects including APQP & PPAP.
  • Establish and maintain project
  • Open concern matrix and seeks engineering support from Assembly and Stamping Engineering after quote is completed, or as needed. Meets periodically with the launch team to review the concern matrix.
  • Coordinates and manages supplier and in-house coordination and follow0up.
  • Coordinates and manages research and development/new technology assistance.
  • Adherence to launch methodology process.

Requirements:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or Journeyman or equivalent (10 years) combined education/experience in tool & die with large body panels.
  • Must have a minimum of 4 years in relevant Engineering Program Management experience with a similar company with similar products.
  • Ability to interpret Engineering information, computer skills (Excel, MS Project, PPT) and customer specific systems is expected (Ford -WERS; GM; Chrysler)

Controls Engineer

 

Primary Job Function:

Support the new vehicle development of TSAC programs by exchanging technical information with others in the department and management. Support material, equipment, and product specifications and process requirements with minimal direction from a more Senior Engineer or management. Provide the department with design alternatives that facilitate manufacturing feasibility. Assist and/or lead in research & development activities. Provide training/mentorship to less experienced Engineers. Accomplish any and all work assignments as directed by management.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Customer and Supplier Interaction.
    • Cost, Quality, Delivery, Concerns/Conflicts
  • New Business Inquiries.
    • Quotes, Develop Process, Timing, Quality, Capacity
  • Feasibility and Engineering Change processing/implementation for checking fixtures.
  • Process & Design.
  • Launch Projects.
    • APQP, PPAP
  • Establish and Maintain project timelines for fixture design and build.
  • Supplier and In-house Coordination and Follow-up.
  • Research and Development/New Technology Assistance.
  • Develop and maintain Engineering Specifications.
  • Training/Guidance involvement with level B Engineers and Engineer Trainees.
  • Adherence to launch methodology processes.
  • Primarily intra-organizational contact and minimal customer contact.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or a minimum of 6 years combined education/experience in skilled trades or relevant field (design, stamping, process, QA or assembly).
  • A machine or tool background.
  • Project management skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Experience with PLC, PLC programming and Robots.
  • Experience with at least 1 of the following: CAD, AutoCAD, Catia, NX or Autoform
  • Ability to interpret Engineering information.
  • Experience with Omron, Allen Bradley, Pilz and DeviceNet.
  • Experience with hardware design and electrical drawings.
  • Knowledge of Ethernet I/P, HMI, Ladder logic, I/O and pneumatics.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and analytical skills.

Health, Safety and Physical Demand Requirements:

  • Ability to walk, sit or stand for extensive periods of time.
  • Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional bending and reaching.

Travel Requirements:

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and ability to obtain a Passport.
  • Travel within the US and Canada up to 50%.
  • International travel up to 25%.

Stamping / Tooling Engineer

 

Job Description:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or a minimum of 6 years combined education/experience in skilled trades or relevant field (design, stamping, process, QA or assembly).
  • At least 4 years engineering experience with a broad knowledge of the functional areas in automotive Stamping Engineering dealing with Class A and structural components comprised of various steels or aluminum.
  • Job experience in tool shop at least 10 years.
  • Should understand customer engineering requirements, costs-assembly, timing and quality
  • Die experience is required
  • Engineering Study Skill (See product shape then can be make process sheet include die size and FCR)
  • Knowledge of die build process
  • A machine or tool background.
  • Project management skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • 2D or 3D design skill.
  • Experience with at least 1 of the following: CAD, AutoCAD, Catia, NX or Autoform.
  • Knowledge of die build process and die process skill.
  • T/O attendance and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to interpret Engineering information.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Forming analysis skill.
